Win £25: Should my son take responsibility for Tesco’s error?

This week Malcolm McFarlin  wrote to us. He says: ”In July my son bought currency from Tesco Travel Money for a holiday in Bulgaria. He gave the cashier £400 and was given 118,000 Hungarian forint rather than Bulgarian lev. He didn’t realise the error until he got to the airport.

“He went back to the store after his holiday and was told that it could buy the currency back only at the current rate, which meant a loss of £45.67. He also incurred bank charges when making cash withdrawals in Bulgaria. He complained to Tesco customer services, but nothing has happened. Should he pursue it?”
